What is Cara under the hood? It looks similar to Pixelfed and Mastodon, but maybe that's just convergent design. AFAICT, their Discord channel opened in December 2022, and the app launched the following month, which makes it seem like they probably forked another project, but maybe development had been closed up to then. The source code doesn't appear to be public, and the only clue I can find about it's makeup is that they're hiring React developers.
