Islamic Dubai concludes the 'Winter Grass' program

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai concluded the activities of the 'Winter Grass' program, under the umbrella of the 'Grass of Goodness' initiative, which targeted girls aged 7 to 15 to promote Islamic values and community values, and develop moral and national identity in parallel with the winter break for girls. The program was held at eight centers, including the Islamic Cultural Center, the Mother of the Sheikh Cultural Center, the Women's Club, the Muhammad bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture in Al Barsha, and the Hatta Community Center, and the Al Lisali Women's Renaissance Association. More than 500 girls participated in the program under the supervision of 31 teachers and 47 volunteers, and benefited from 25 educational sessions and more than 100 interactive workshops over 200 hours of educational content. Muhammad Mahdi Al Sweidi, Director of Education and Religious Guidance at the department, said: 'The Winter Grass program is a continuation of the great success achieved by the 'Summer Grass' program, which witnessed a wide response and distinguished participation from the girls, reflecting the community's trust in the department's efforts to promote Islamic values among the next generation. This season's program was successful in attracting more than 500 girls from different age groups, providing a comprehensive educational environment that combines fun and learning, focusing on developing their skills in innovation, sustainability, and leadership.' Al Sweidi added: 'The great response and positive interaction from the girls and their families reflect the department's commitment to achieving its strategy of being closer to the community by meeting their needs, and we look forward to continuing to provide quality programs that enhance social agendas to achieve greater happiness and cohesion.' The program included various activities that combine fun and benefit, featuring content inspired by success stories in different fields to motivate participants to innovate and excel, and reflects the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department's commitment to its role in promoting awareness and education, and preparing young generations to contribute to sustainable development with a sense of belonging and creativity.
