ren (npub1vdd…tkfq) Yeah I read it when I was 17 and was trying to get back into reading after being too mentally-ill to touch a book for many years. I basically googled "best books of all time," and bought the top 5 and read them all lol. I read it once without any help and tried to piece it together myself, and then again with online annotations so I could understand it better.
I enjoyed it quite a bit. I find Joyce's earlier books pretty dry, but Ulysses plays with the form of the novel in such incredibly ways that I found it fun. It was very funny, sometimes very touching (especially chapter 3,) and very satisfying to get through.
