Do they know that telegram is not end to end encrypted? Normies may use these apps because they are popular and sadly they assume that these apps are popular because they are safe and private without the ability to verify this for themselves.
On a separate note: what do you gain once the idea that normies don't want to be self sovereign is normalized?
