For most of my life, I’ve been too kind & haven’t been great at setting boundaries, so I’ve let people mistreat me & usually blamed it on myself. That changed when I had my daughter. I want her to see me setting healthy boundaries & breaking ties with people who don’t respect them, b/c I want her to learn to do the same. Anyway, yesterday, after weeks of contemplating, I drew a line in the sand regarding associating with people who support someone who has been abusive to me. It’s liberating.
