So its a crypto post day.
The reason i am not a maxi is one specific reason. While there are specific dangers regarding having a One True Coin (quantum computing, focal point of attack or censorship by governments, etc), for me, the real issue is that in order to provide true fintech services, you need to bridge to/from it.
Example, i think Threshold Network is probably the best that can be done regarding bridges. It follows the architecture of Cosmos IBC, Chainlink CCIP, and layer zero.
Deposit address->relay network-> minting on ethereum
Its a decentralized oracle methodology.
Its still an oracle. It still has a custody component. But I think it is currently the best that can be done.
We, digital asset users, can not have a long lasting, viable economy that is hardened from attack until custody is truly dealt with.
I do not think we are there. We will be though.
