I am skeptical of Cara, because I see a lot of people moving to it and posting that pointless, do-nothing story on Instagram about not consenting to their data being used to train models. I also am skeptical of all non-federated platforms, since anything can be enshittified.
That said, it sounds like Zhang is avoiding VC funding, which is the fastest way to enshittify these days. Anyone have thoughts?
