Also....Liquid already supports covenants. So, it seems like the best choice to build support for them on BTC would to build something useful / cool on Liquid and treat that as testnet.

NOTHING at a protocol level removes the need to secure private keys. Every single explanation of covenants makes 0 sense to how it actually solves anything to me and explanations like this makes me think these influencers don't even know.
