A study spanning four decades and involving seven million people in Denmark shows that transgender individuals have SIGNIFICANTLY higher suicide rates compared to other groups.
The study found that in Denmark, transgender people had 7.7 times the rate of suicide attempts and 3.5 times the rate of suicide deaths when compared to the general population.
Other studies conducted in 2022 have also shown that over 50% of transgender and non-binary youth in various states across the U.S. have seriously considered suicide.
