There is not much #locksport content on here. I guess I'll start.
I started years ago with an amazon special pick kit and a few random locks. Got discouraged because I couldn't find info on lock difficulty back then, so I didn't know if I was buying a comically easy lock or one way beyond my skills I didn't stand a chance with. I didn't want to have to buy 100 locks at random to start to figure things out.
Fast forward to yesterday, the algorithm on another site got me with a lockpicking video. Lockpicking is basically a fidget spinner that also engages your brain.
So I dug out my old kit. Single pin picked Master locks 1, 3, 5, 141, and some chinese no name lock since then. That is all I have in the kit.
Rather than buy a bunch of locks, I ordered a training lock. It can be configured with up to 6 pins with a mix of standard, spool, and serrated pins.
Wish me luck.
