Way back in 2013, I wrote up Hodinkee for TIME’s list of the year’s best websites. (I think maybe the site was nominated by my colleague Olivia Waxman, but as a watch fan, I wholeheartedly agreed.) I was touched to see founder Benjamin Clymer list this ancient, minor honor first among the site’s achievements in his post announcing its sale.
