Yes, this small version is working so well I'm planning on making a much larger one with a new gen asic. On the other hand, I've considered a solar dehydrator but I'm not sure how well it works in fall when temperatures can be cooler, weather is more cloudy and rainy at that time of year too. The apples and pears won't wait for the right weather conditions.
Amazing. Imagine how quickly you could dehydrate windfall apples-to preserve them for winter. Most people core them and slice them into rings and hang on string to dry them out for days-making fruit leather too-WoW!
