Longest season back to back with the shortest, because 8 was cut in half by the split update. (The ending to 8 was SUPER neat, though, probably the most interesting world event they've done)
Looking into the TCG was what got me watching Hermitcraft proper; even though it was "basically" a pallet-swapped Pokemon, the whole hype behind it was really fun to watch. I'll keep an eye for the tournament, it'd be fun to see as a thematic endcap to the season.
