Yeah, I'd like to run the new 4.3 #Mastodon, since it would apparently simplify dealing with many replies. But since the Gods of Mastodon have unhelpfully and suddenly pushed a key prerequisite into a zone where native libraries on the server are not compatible, I'm apparently going to have to move the native install 4.2.X to a docker version 4.3 -- assuming it containerizes GLIB properly -- not all docker apps I've seen do so. And of course, there are loads of places explaining how to do this safely, most of which conflict in terms of the gotchas and problems that can arise. Of course.
Anyone got a concise method that ACTUALLY WORKS?
'Cause I don't want to make a new hobby out of this.
