No, Trump, the US didn't negotiate with Putin, nor should we have. Trump said Russia invaded Ukraine because the current administration failed to negotiate with Putin. That's a remarkably weak and sycophantic starting position to maintain for someone who is seeking to be command in chief again. His framing of the war says everything, as does his using the debate to praise Putin and Orban multiple times, while not mentioning a single US ally. Chilling.
