It's Juneteenth, marking June 19, 1865 the _actual_ freeing of slaves in the USA was completed (not Jan 1 1863) because the Confederacy still operated in Texas and continued to hold more than 250,000 black people as slaves.
So next time someone claims _that flag_ or the Confederacy is about 'heritage', ask them why their 'heritage' kept making it about slavery.
