I know way too much about the heating and cooling in MEB to think this would work (or for my own sanity)
Apparently, at the time the building was built, the way you did the plumbing for the water for heating and cooling was that you have separate hot and cold inputs to the building, but then a common output for both of them.
This is not how they do things anymore, they now have completely separate loops for each.
However so much work has been done - and not documented - over the last 50 years on this building that no one knows anymore where all the cross-connects between the hot and cold water systems are. So it is fundamentally impossible to control the heating and cooling in this building.
They are scheduled to rip all of the hot and cold water lines out of the building and re-do them, but this is going to be a project that is bigger and more disruptive than either the one replacing the entire outside of the building or the one where they replaced the entire roof.
Pray, John, pray, that we are in the new building before that happens.
