We're a long way from a direct drug treatment for ME/CFS (and Long COVID seems to be a related condition) but nailing down the metabolic pathway and mechanism implicated in the condition is a huge step forward. It's only a decade or so since it was derided as "yuppie flu" and met with disbelief by most medics.
