There is something I thought a long time ago when seeing the movie *Batman Begins*. As the name implies, it is when Batman... begins being Batman. And during the first scenes where he is Batman, he's quite awkward and clumsy. He is still figuring some things out. He doesn't move as gracefully as he will. He hasn't got all of his costume and gadgets yet. He's confident and dedicated to what he does, but you can feel that he isn't used to doing it yet.

And yet he is already, fully Batman, and doing all the stuff Batman does, knocking out and scaring villains, disappearing mysteriously, lurking in shadows, and fighting crime with his ridiculous wealth, ninja training, tech-savvy sidekick and mental health issues. And he's winning.

My point is not about Batman himself (and I'm well aware of all the wrong and misleading messages Batman can send about billionaires, fighting crime, mental health, terror tactics and a variety of other topics). It's more that when you explore a new path you set for yourself, it's normal and inevitable that it will be, and feel, and look awkward and clumsy in the beginning. It does not mean you're failing. It does not mean you aren't successful, even if it's not all effortless and gracious. And it certainly does not mean it isn't the right path for you.
