"content": "I had almost the opposite experience from the 200-level classes onward. At least in the early 00s, the CS department was far more interested in making more CS professors (emphasizing theory almost exclusively) than they were in making competent software developers. I realized years later that there was little to no actual *engineering* being taught in those classes.",
