The recently vacated plot near us at the allotment site has been occupied by a newly retired couple. They are making good progress but it'll be a challenge because there's a huge amount of plastic weed control fabric on it.
They are new to allotmenting so it'll be interesting to watch their progress - in the past new people havent done too well , and that's how I ended up with my second plot - it had been neglected repeatedly by folk who suddenly realised what a huge commitment a full size plot is.
