There are “multi-purpose” paths that parallel the 45mph main road. Electric golf carts don’t take up a full lane. The speed differential between bikes and golf carts, especially electric bikes, is far less. Even here, though, the golf cart is a second class citizen to the car. Curb cuts for multi-purpose paths, where the cross car roads, need to be wider to prevent backups at light changes.",
