Now I'm getting a better understanding of grammatical gender.
Declaring one's pronoun's doesn't make linguistic sense.
In english names are either masculine, feminine or neuter.
The trans people I know who had masculine names, changed them to feminine ones.
In being named Richard I am already declaring my gender as masculine.
I can see if you had a neuter name (eg:Quinn) and possess a gender and want people to know it, you'd want to declare your gender.
I guess that's what this is really about "What is important to you". Gender pronouns in email footers are a declaration of group membership, like a fish sticker on a car.
As I study latin, I see how grammatical gender makes sense in language.
It's interesting that English mostly lost its gendered nouns 500 years ago.
