I love KFC. Fried chicken is delicious.
My KFC Zinger box is $15 now.
3 years ago it was $11.
That’s 33% KFC inflation in 3 years
11% KFC inflation per year.
I’ve had three 3% pay rises in the same three years.
My pay has risen 9%.
KFC has risen 33%.
I’m 24% poorer!
We bought a house 18 years ago for $280,000.
I was so sure that the property market was due for a collapse.
Now it’s worth a million.
200% property inflation over 18 years. Matches the KFC inflation rate.
CPI is a lie.
I was talked out of buying #bitcoin when it was $36 dollars.
But at least my house value tripled.
I finally bought bitcoin at the price I deserved.
My bitcoin has doubled in value.
My money is worth less but my assets are worth more.
But….. if you don’t hold hard assets, you are so fucked.
