That's a very good point. Let's dig into that.
1. Which Bible? The King James version, The New International Version, or the Torah?
2. Which language: Hebrew, Aramaic, Latin, Greek, German, or English?
3. Content - If you have read the content of a particular language, compilation and understand the work, then you can make an educated and authentic assessment of the document. If you haven't then you are taking someone else's word for authority.
If you haven't read a book then you cannot evaluate it. Just like you can't evaluate a car's handling without actually driving it.
The proof of God is the scripture written about God. The Vedas, Christian Scripture, Jewish, Zoroastrian, Islamic, Sikh, Taoist, Impersonalist scriptures.... The testimony of practitioners and even the machinations of those who deceive. This is where the authentic liberal education comes in as the Trivium of Math, Grammar and Rhetoric.
The language itself is proof because it has to be evaluated. Literally, "God" means to "ask". As in to goad someone into doing something.
Reading Robert F. Kennedy Jr's book on Fauci, etcetera. You are presented a document written by a lawyer who has extensively documented his postulates. Furthermore, as a layer, he knows that if he's lying he can be sued for liability.
I'm glad you are digging deeper into this.
