maybe this is obvious, but I feel like many need a reminder.
as we head in to the next week or so, remember to view movements of change as something to plan for 1 year, 5 years, 10 years out. we can't always be treating every shift in politics as the only thing that matters.
things will be bad after the election regardless of this one outcome. there will be ongoing work to do. if we can't imagine beyond stamping out the immediate present, then we are trapped in a politic that necessitates reaction to return to the status quo before "real change" can happen.
the entire house may burn down, and it really can feel like the end. however, you keep on living, and you need to be ready for that.
