I don’t know anything about the author but it reminds me of a very bad book by an Eastern Orthodox monk that I just read, where he tried to recontextualize everything in the Taoist tradition into an incomplete version of what the Losskyites believe.
Mormons do this a lot too. Look up Hugh Nibley. It’s extremely easy to fall into the perennialist trap bc when you’re talking about abstract categories, and especially transcendental ones, you’re talking about a finite arrangement of principles that can’t be easily comprehended.
