This is a pic of the left fork/axle/bearing/hub assembly viewed from the front to rear of the bike.
Note that the washer is against the bearing in the hub (my assumed placement). To its left is the cylindrical spacer which is butted up against the inside face of the fork. My question to you is: should that washer be against the bearing or against the inside face of the fork?
