Recently I've been getting deeper into this type of thing, looking at how young men get convinced they're eggs and decide to cut off their genitals. The ones who fall for this I don't think had very good reasoning abilities at all. It's usually something along the lines of the hormones the doctor gives you are reversible, your mangled gash will look good, or the dilation isn't permanent. No ability to look deeper into these claims at all for something that's this permanent.
