Secure checks?
I have read a bunch of posts about the horrible insecurity of checks. But I need to pay people in another state that don't have websites, let alone CC/venmo/paypal.
I have been using checks from a Bluebird Amex account for several years: each check needs to be preauthorized online, and only for the specified amount. The amount can't be "washed," and the account number on the check is useless for direct debit, wire fraud or check printing. But Bluebird is sunsetting these, so when I run out of checks, it's done.
Anybody know of anything similar?
