Just got my ballot! I live in Colorado, where every registered voter gets mailed a paper ballot. You can fill it out at home, with access to whatever information you choose. You can mail it back or take it to your polling location when it opens. I'm going to walk mine to the drop box at the Larimer County Administrative Services building later today.
The ballots get counted by machine, of course, but the paper ballots are there as evidence and backup.
