This can be tragic. We lost a good friend to covid a few months after vaccines became available. Because he'd been vaccinated, the hospital sent him home when he developed dangerous covid symptoms, including breathing difficulty. His unvaccinated girlfriend was admitted, survived. He died next day. They didn't yet know vaccination doesn't guarantee survival. (Get vaccinated anyway, folks!)
