I've ordered me a new yeast to try on mandarins. Should tolerate up to 14% alcohol, which is still a bit too much for what I want, but can't really find anything that will die off at 12%, so there's that. Also, they say it produces very little H2S and it's particularly good at extracting aromatics from must, so hopefully I won't have much of that famous citrus fart smell while it's fermenting. We'll see how it turns out ;)
