Israeli police arrested two French military personnel at the France-owned Elona Church site in occupied East Jerusalem as the French foreign minister Jean-Noel Barrot was due to visit it.

France did not give the Israeli police permission to, but they didn’t care and entered the site armed.

Barrot cancelled his visit due to the presence of Israeli police on site and the breach of diplomatic immunity.
