Women are HYPERCONSERVATIVE, traditionally they're pack animals who wish to stay at home with the kids and family. Whatever opinions and issues are the dominant social norm when they're about 10-18 years old, they lock in for the rest of their lives. In the soviet union, dissidents on religious grounds were chiefly women.
Women are the ones who uphold traditional morals in humanity's natural state. Men are the ones who are meant to be on the edge, trying out new stuff, taking risks-- because if their risk kills them, that guy can just be replaced in the next generation. If a woman dies, you not only lose her but all the children she would have had in her lifetime.
