This is such a perfect event to exemplify how what people believe to be the truth is really just what they want to be the truth. Nobody can prove one way or another whether it was the SEC’s fault or Twitter’s fault for the account getting compromised. Each side is unwilling to share the raw evidence of the mishap and, even if they did, half of the people would say it’s fabricated. As a result, we have to live in a world of un-truth.
