***Story Time***
When I took this picture, it was the first morning during my road trip from California to South Dakota, but this wasn't where I intended on spending the night.
This was about 40 miles out of Elko Nevada, in the middle of nowhere, parked on the side of the road just off the highway. How I ended up here was a double blow out of my rear tires.
I was overtaking a semi doing about [[[the speed limit]]] and the moment I got ahead of him, both of my rear tires suddenly blew out.
I swerved all the way off into the shoulder, attempted to recover and swerved into the opposite shoulder.
My car was full of everything I owned, so I was heavy, and I knew if I hit the grass, it was game over. One last time I swerved back into the opposite shoulder and managed to get myself straight.
I pulled off at the next exit, saw the damage, and realizing I was in the middle of nowhere, I decided to camp out and get a tow in the morning, of course sleep didn't come easy after staring death in the face like that, but I managed to get a few hours.
Waking up to this view, I had to wonder if I was even still alive at that point and if I had died the night before.
