Sometimes I say that email is effectively centralized and “hackers” are outraged. They insist that anyone, anyone, could just set up a personal mail transport agent at any time. And of course they’d do it themselves if they ever needed to! Just, not now.
Some people are saying this in good faith but with outdated knowledge - this hasn’t been practical since the mid 00s
