So, hosting a #matrix #instance with #synapse is great but currently, synapse is very diskspace hungry so I meed to prune the database a bit.

I did this with my #mastodon instance earlier and automated it. Works like a charm. Now I need matrix to chill.

At some point I might make installation scripts so (not totally) normal users can try them for self-hosting. Not sure if its going to be fun or going to suck big time but I might try.

I might check github first before reinventing the wheel.
