What if the browser included NIP-84 highlighting natively and also solved the issue of URL linkrot (you highlight a URL that subsequently goes offline) by preserving an archive?
The "browser" part isn't an arbitrary bell/whistle - it's specifically to serve nostr features that are tightly coupled to web content.
