It would be cool if it were part of the protocol. To play Devil’s Advocate, it adds more complexity that arguably isn’t necessary. Clients could handle translations independently, choose a specific machine translation service (e.g. Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, LibreTranslate, offline translations), which is more flexible and enables choice.
