I definitely would write under a pseudonym because most of what I would want to write is not what my family would care for and what they'd probably criticize me for. But also because if it got well received and successful, my original name is too unique and makes me easy to find if someone wanted to try.

Doesn't help that most folks can't pronounce my last name and my first is tricky for a lot of folks to say, too. Even now I'm writing with a pseudonym. Had to deal with cyberstalkers on my FB account years ago and it made me wary about putting my real name anywhere if I didn't have to. It's only on LinkedIn so that employers can find out I actually exist.
