Showed up for a doctor’s apt yesterday to find it was canceled and they hadn’t notified me. The receptionist defensively said, “Do you want me to call my manager over to confirm we called you?”
Why would I want that? I was annoyed, but not at her. So what if you confirm the office called me. I obviously didn’t get the message or I wouldn’t be standing there? Why would calling the manager over change that in any way?? It was very weird.
