Been helping get some more wood ready for the wood stove. Its been drying for a couple of years and is ideal for burning now. They used to say wood got you warm twice, once when you prepared it and once when you burned it but first came chain saws and now we don't even use an axe to split it except to prepare 'morning wood' as Stuart calls kindling. It used to be a lot of work, its still work but not so bad. Even the chainsaw does not need a pull start nowadays.
