I don't know about that model.... but my knowledge of screens would tell me one of 2 things happened:
1) brightness/contrast settings went wacko
2) backlight is now not functional

2nd could be a lot of work, cost, and time to repair
1st - find those "knobs/settings" - adjust and see if anything changes. If they are mechanical - are they still connected/functional (may require an electrical meter).
