What does not work is the navigation within that text. Once you inside the text, i.e. when VO says “in text”, you should be able to use control+option+left/right to navigate word by word.
If you are not doing any custom code in that table, then it is probably a VoiceOver bug that I should report. I need to find another app where this misbehaves.
