The flaw with substack is it uses email to reach your subscribers, and most things you post are not email-worthy. That means you have to craft an entire essay that says something, that has a kind of structure, that needs editing, etc.
The great thing about social media is you can just have an idea and post it. No one has high expectations for scrolling past a bunch of posts.
But the flaw with social media is few people actually stop and read your posts, they’re just scrolling past.
I guess the solution is just to post for its own sake, for the sake of self-expression and not really care about who reads it or what the consequences are of that.
