In a closed meeting with govt ministers the head of Shin Bet warned that National Security Minister Ben Gvir's recent storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, coupled with the ongoing, deadly attacks by Israeli settlers on Palestinians in the West Bank, is generating a significant threat of imminent retaliation that jeopardizes Israel's security.
In response the far-right Minister Ben Gvir left the meeting and demanded the dismissal of the head of Shin Bet.
