This won't be cutting products because customers report there is “too much range” but will likely be cutting the products that are least profitable which will mean less range of quality products for customers to purchase.
Particularly for food items, I think it is best to purchase as little from these large supermarkets. Where possible, find local, independently owned retailers, buy direct from farmers, or from markets. The products are generally better quality, fresher, healthier, taste better, and more of the money goes to the people producing them.
