In honor of this week's #Monsterdon film, Tentacles, I'll be sharing a fun octopus fact every day. 🐙
How do octopuses move? While they can use their siphon to blast a jet of water and ZOOM (water propulsion) they often prefer to walk. As they mosey, their suction cups independently move, taste, and sense their environment. Their neurons extend into their arms. If cut off, those arms will keep exploring! For a while, that is.
